Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026. This policy applies to immersiveyachts.com and is governed by EU GDPR (Regulation 2016/679).

1. Who We Are

Immersive Yachts is a trading name of Multivision 3D, a Dutch sole-trader company (eenmanszaak) operated by Henk Groeneveld.

We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

2. Data We Collect

Contact form — When you submit a quote request via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the message you send. This data is processed by Formspree and forwarded to our email inbox. We retain this data for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for up to 3 years for business records.

Ask the Yacht — AI Concierge (Immy) — Some of our virtual tours (currently the Fountaine Pajot MY6 and Alegria 67 Power tours) include Immy, an AI concierge you can chat or speak with. Using her is entirely optional — you can browse and view the tour without her. In short: Immy only uses that yacht's real listing data to answer you, nothing is invented, and nothing you tell her is used for anything other than answering you and, if you choose to share your contact details, connecting you with the broker. What we collect when you use her:

  • What you type or say to Immy — to generate her reply, decide which part of the tour or which photo to show, and detect buying interest so the broker can follow up.
  • Voice recordings (only if you use the microphone) — converted to text so Immy can understand your question. The audio itself is not stored after transcription. Using the microphone requires your browser's separate permission prompt and your consent; declining it, or simply not using it, does not limit anything else Immy can help with by text.
  • Immy's spoken replies (only if voice is on) — generated as audio and played back to you. Not stored after playback.
  • Name, email, phone number — only if you choose to share them (a form, or just telling Immy) — used to let the broker contact you.
  • IP address, device/browser type, referrer, pages/scenes viewed, questions asked — for analytics and, where there is serious buying interest, included in the notification email sent to the broker.

Chat messages and voice recordings are processed to generate a response and are not stored in a database afterward; server logs (which can include message content for troubleshooting) follow our hosting provider's standard log retention. Immy also assigns a rough interest level (none/warm/hot) to a conversation based on signals like a price question or a request to view — this only flags the conversation for a human broker to read and decide how to respond, so it is not an automated decision under GDPR Art. 22. The most current, complete version of this notice — since Immy also runs standalone at asktheyacht.com — is the Ask the Yacht Privacy Notice, which explicitly applies wherever Immy appears, including on this domain.

Analytics — Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics — With your consent, we use Google Tag Manager (GTM-PZSG7JQW) to load analytics tools. This may include Google Analytics, which collects anonymised data about pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region. Google Analytics data is stored on Google's servers. Analytics — Matomo (cookieless) — We also use a self-hosted Matomo installation operating in cookieless mode. This means no cookies are set and no personal data is stored. We collect only anonymised aggregate data (page views, referrer type). This does not require consent under GDPR.

Google Fonts — This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may cause your browser to send your IP address to Google. We use the standard Google Fonts API. Google Fonts privacy →

Server logs — Our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp). These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.

3. Legal Basis

  • Contact form data: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to respond to your business enquiry.
  • Ask the Yacht (Immy) conversations: Legitimate interest in operating the concierge and following up on genuine sales interest; for microphone/voice use specifically, your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) given by choosing to use it. See the Ask the Yacht Privacy Notice for full detail.
  • Google Tag Manager / Analytics: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — you can accept or decline via the cookie banner.
  • Cookieless Matomo + server logs: Legitimate interest — anonymised site performance monitoring.

4. Cookies

This site uses a single first-party cookie-consent preference stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie). It records whether you accepted or declined analytics tracking. It is not transmitted to any server and contains no personal data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the following processors:

  • Formspree Inc. — contact form submissions (US, Standard Contractual Clauses apply)
  • Anthropic, OpenAI and ElevenLabs — process conversations with Immy (text, voice transcription, and spoken replies) only on the tours where she is embedded (US, Standard Contractual Clauses apply). See the Ask the Yacht Privacy Notice for details.
  • Resend — delivers the broker notification email when Immy detects genuine buying interest in a conversation.
  • Google LLC — analytics and fonts (US, Standard Contractual Clauses / EU-US DPF apply)
  • Our hosting provider — server infrastructure for this website

We may share data with freelance photographers in our network strictly to fulfil your project, under confidentiality obligations.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdraw consent at any time (for analytics)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

7. Data Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are encrypted in transit. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
